What is the maximum capacity of the vertical SBX IP?
The SBX is capable of supporting 12 analog CO lines and up to 48 extensions. The basic KSU starts at 3 CO lines and 8 stations, and can expand by an additional 3 CO lines and 8 stations for a maximum of 6 CO lines and 16 extensions. The expansion KSU starts at 3 CO lines and 16 digital stations, and can expand by 3 CO lines and 16 digital stations for a maximum of 6 CO lines and 32 stations providing a capacity of 12x18. If you install T1/PRI, the capacity increases to 33(24 T1/PRI and 9 analog CO).
Does the SBX IP support hybrid ports?
Yes, the Vertical SBX IP supports what is known as Hybrid Ports. The initial 8 station ports are configured as a digital station that can only be used by a Vertical SBX digital phone, and the remaining 7 station ports are hybrid ports that can support either analog or digital phones. The analog phone can be a fax machine, cordless phone or a single line phone. An analog cordless phone is perfect for a business that requires advanced technology.
What is the SMDR reporting feature?
SMDR stands for Station Message Detail Recording which enables users to have detailed information about incoming and outgoing voice and data calls. The station captures the information, which is sent to an output device such as an optional call accounting or analysis system. SMDR records are gathered sequentially and sent to the RS-232 SMDR jack on the processor module of the control unit. They can be printed on a serial printer connected to the SMDR jack. Thanks to the SMDR feature, you are able to access detailed reports of incoming and outgoing calls. By monitoring office calls, you can increase your office productivity.
